Praxis is a body of figurative paintings reflecting a return to the role of student and the lifelong pursuit of knowledge through practice. Inspired by observing Indiana University Indianapolis archaeology students and becoming an apprentice in fine art framing and restoration, the exhibition reflects a shared pursuit of preservation, craftsmanship, and care. Whether preserving human remains, restoring works of art, or creating paintings, understanding is shaped through repetition, careful reconstruction, and the responsibility of working with our hands.
